1985 BMW 535i $5800

Post by Ryanscott »

It is a 1985 BMW 535i with 136,028 original miles and a clean title.

Getrag 265/6 manual transmission, 3:25 Open Differential

I flew out to CA in February this year to buy the car and have only put enough miles on it to drive back to Utah and around the block a few times. I purchased the car when it had 135k miles.

It was in the garage almost entire time I owned it

The car is located in Detroit Lakes,MN now, I pulled it up here in a trailer and it’s been in the garage since.

The body is incredibly straight and there is very minimal surface rust

The interior of the car was originally Pearl beige and arctic blue on the exterior. The paint is sun damaged and the upper half is faded.

Had the windshield installed in October

Interior:

The carpet was cleaned and dyed black, as well as the headliner.

The hvac sytem in the car was removed completely cleaned and seals replaced where needed.

**A/C system vacuumed down, serviced with R-12**

Both blower motors were removed, cleaned and lubricated.

Interior wiring harness repaired and rewrapped.

Front seats were swapped with a set from an e90 with saddle brown leather, Both front seats are full electric and in good shape.

Dash cracks repaired/filled, texture sprayed, then sprayed black.

The plan was to match the doors black, with saddle brown leather to match, as well as reupholstering the rear seat the same. As well as having the dash leather wrapped.

You could easily switch back to factory seats if you wanted

All window motors and the sunroof motor function, door locks are all functional. Comes with two keys

Stereo:
New kenwood Head unit, new speakers front and rear, with new wires ran. All channels ran on RCA to the amplifiers under the back seat.

Polk audio 4”x6” up front
Polk audio 5.25” in the rear
Polk audio MM1042 DVC MM1 10" 900 watt Subwoofer

Skar 700 watt 5 channel amplifier powering all of the door speakers

Killmat sound deadener installed throughout the rear of the car.

Other extras:

Fuel tank was removed, and the inside cleaned out.

Just installed a new Bosch fuel pump, and Napa Gold fuel filter last week.

Has a set of matched 220cc injectors

New brakes and rotors all the way around

Holy grail lab blade fuse kit

Original bmw sunroof air-dam wrapped in matte black vinyl

Wheels all have center caps in good condition

Complete tool kit ( picture shows missing wrench but I have it)

It needs struts and the paint is obviously not in fantastic shape. Its been fun while I’ve had it and it has the potential to be an amazing car

Asking $5,800 obo

Just a suggestion, but you might want to take better photos outside in the daylight so we all can see what we're looking at.
Especially at that listed price.

I bet you would if you got your asking price  Not trying to be a villain, just saying maybe check your expectations and lower the price if you actually want to sell this. GLWS
