Hello,
I'm working on my Heater Closing Panel (P/N 51711955955). As you can see in the photo below, I'm missing a chunk of the flexible-ish portion at the edge. I tried a repair using Permatex RTV, but that didn't stick or get solid enough. Has anyone found a solution that adheres to the material and is somewhat flexible like the original material ?

I don't even remember that flexible edge on mine, it's been a while I guess. This came up recently, but about replacing the insulation, not the edge, you might want to search for that. RTV is funny stuff, sometimes it sticks like crazy, other times it seems like it but doesn't and sometimes not at all. But what might work is Polyurethane caulking, it's available in both Dap and Sika and is really good stuff. I used it to caulk the insulation on the hood that butts up against the panel you're working with, which seems like it's probably the same stuff, and it stuck and was solid when I sold the car years later. It's a little hard to find, available in some colors and is head and shoulders above RTV in performance. If you were just trying to glue something on I'd suggest 3M weatherstripping adhesive, it's a very heavy bodied contact cement that has excellent performance.
