Cheaper than $70?
Maybe a used set of dangling fogs from ebay. Hang em from your bumper. Lots of ways to mount them. 70 is really cheap today for a set of new working fog lights but maybe alibaba has some new chinese lights for less.

Yup, Mike is right, I forgot this was a € car with the fogs in the valance. Dangling em from the bumper would be hard.
There were fog delete plates but you said you had to have fogs so I guess those might not work.

Re: Cheap fog lights, where too buy
I looked on Realoem.com, a great resource to find part numbers, but don't look at their prices because they don't mean anything and you can't buy from therm, they don't sell parts, and it appears those fogs are similar to what we got here on M5s and those fogs are integrated, not really a stand alone light. Anyway, the problem is it appears the ones you need are no longer available, so the price is going to be expensive, unless you want to go to a lot of work to devise a way to mount the replacement lights. You might have to, I don't know.

Okay, i will trie and measure the light Hole and se if there is a light from a diffrent car that can fit, it looks like a pretty basic squar hole so somthing should have ish the same dimensions, thanks for the answear!
Re: Cheap fog lights, where too buy
Are you positive it is the FRONT fog lights and not the REAR one what is mandatory?
As far as I know, it is the rear fog light/s what is mandatory in Europe.

Norwegian Eu control, all lights must be working to have it registered, if a car does not come with fog light fram factory its okay, but since this does come with fog light from factory i need it to get passed the Eu control
Re: Cheap fog lights, where too buy
What defines as "came with fog lights"? Is it based on the VIN, or is it based on non-working fog lights being present on the car?
If the latter, there are blank-off plates that can be installed in place of the fogs.

I don’t know where they Get the info from, but if a car dosent come with seatbelts in norway, its not mandetory for it to have it when inspected, but do you know where you can be the Block of plates?

51711873623 and 51711873624
are the BMW fog light opening covering plate for the € valance. If you can use those and not have fog lights, maybe they don't have to work.

There is also a cover plate for the fog light switch to complete the changeover.

There are two ways (As far as I know) if your 518i came or not came with the optional front fog lights from factory (as an option taken for the first owner):Brein wrote: Aug 27, 2024 12:51 PM Norwegian Eu control, all lights must be working to have it registered, if a car does not come with fog light fram factory its okay, but since this does come with fog light from factory i need it to get passed the Eu control
No front fog lights when new:
1) Outside, Front valance must have the "long delete plastic covers".
2) Inside, the fog lights switch plug connected is the RED plug. (if the white plug is connected, so your car had at some point fog lights installed).
