and have you installed the modified subframe yet? Just wondering whats going on in your neck of the woods.
p.s. you gonna make it to 5erfest this year in spartanburg?
Rich, how is the m5 engine coming? hav'nt seen any update in
Al,
I don't post much about the engine. I haven't spoken to my shop since just before the holiday season. So I need to give them a call and see where it's at. The last problem we ran into was microscopic hairline cracks in the flywheel flange of the crank. The crank was sent off for repair back in Sept '04. I saw the crank after it came back in November. It sure is purdy, balanced to within .1 gram, and coated with a spaceage polymer to prevent oil from clinging, supposedly worth up to 20HP.
Last time I talked to them, I was told the head needed all the valve guides but all the valves except the bent ones were good.
I haven't done anything with the modded subframe yet. I want to get the engine back into the car first, then do the suspension work.
Presently my M5 is a true garage queen, she's covered in dust and has been up on stands since March of '03.
