I have not been successful in obtaining a 92mm billet crank for the stroker project. I spoke to my mechanic today and wondered if a group buy might be possible. He will talk to his contact about that.

When he first talked to his contact, the contact hesitated about making only one crank. It may be easier to convince him to have several done (so it's a profitable for the builder). I will give the details of how many and who is doing the work if it looks like the project is a go. My understanding is that the builder has supplied components to Cosworth in England and has provided 2.5 stroker cranks to my mechanic for his race engines.

Right now I'm just asking if there is interest. These cranks will NOT be cheap. But they will be the best.

You might want to check with metric mechanic on a crank. I know they make a 3.9L I have also heard romurs of a 4.0L that might be possble.

Is this for a 3.5 motor? If so I have a stroker crank from the Racing Dynamics line back in the day. New old stock, never installed. Shoot me an email if you are interested.
Regards,
Kevin

What is involved in gettin the stroker crank in? Do u need new rod, pistons, cam? Does it change compression ratio? Is there a chip for it or do u need new computer? Being from the land of Oz we dont get a lot of that info down here.

You need a Crank from a 3.3 litre M30...not just any....but a 1974 3.3L They are almot impossiable to come buy down here..Almost a One off for a short period. not sure about the US if they had many of these cars?. (it is actually 88.4mm stroke with this crank.) (but he is talking custom...so not sure)

I also beleive you need the L block 93.4mm bore. (can it be used with the 92mm block to acheive the figures?) Combine these and it Should be OK.....but not sure about pistons. (some one mentioned using the VW pistons in such a project to prevent the pistons hitting the valves...Betr OLA i think it was.)

the other issue is CAM....A guy down here was telling me you have to be very careful..and not go to an aggressive cam othewise good night. (and he has a stroker)

THat is my very rough and vague undertanding of it. Would like to know more myself..especially about this 92mm stroked beast?

Noooo...this is for an S38 3.9 stroker, not an M30 stroker. I edited the title of the thread to be more clear...
