are eminating from under the hood. of the M5. They are especially pronounced when the car is cold and when i turn the wheel. when the car warms up, all is well with the world. belts appear to be tight. possible bearing shot? this car has to be pissed off b/c i just don't drive it enough! any thoughts appreciated & thanks in advance!

Needless to say, do not run or drive the car until you know what the source of the problem is...
Who do you entrust your ///M5 to for servicing? You may need to have it flat-bedded to the
shop just to be safe. Sorry if this is patently obvious...just trying to be helpful ;)

Is the sound a rattling noise at startup that goes away from 10-30sec after startup ? ~0

If you hear this, don't even start the car, plan on having to service the timing chain, tensioner, guides, etc.

Or is it more of a groaning sound, that becomes more pronounced when you turn the steering wheel ? (@) Service the the Hydroboost system, do what Randy said.

nothing major - a bit low on fluid. filter may need a change as well. thanks for the tips.
