Ya know how slick fresh tar can be? Well, I found out when I went to try my new kick down switch. Thanks to the 3k converter and a properly timed downshift, boost hit with some pretty serious force. The tires broke loose and I found myself sideways at about 60. Thankfully there was no traffic and I escaped with only some soiled underware and a pissed off wife!!
The new formula is:
wet roads + boost = respect

Hahahaha nice - I rarely ever drive in the rain, I try to avoid it as much as i can.

Ah, memories of the 2002... 5" Pirellis + 160hp - weight = absolutely useless to use 1st gear with any slickocity involved

I actually used to go into a local big empty parking lot (elementry school) late at night to practice skid control in the rain. Once, a cop came up and asked what the hell I was doing, because he thought I was spinning donuts. I explained it to him, and he actually commended me and told me that more people should be like me. Then he explained that if he EVER saw me doing something like that again in a public parking lot that he would be forced to give me a ticket

I should have tried that with my "laying drag" offence. Been like, ye, i was practicing drifting and control.

It helped some that I'm from a VERY small town and the cop knew me (by reputation) and knew that I would never waste good rubber on purpose...
That and the fact that he had a very nicely modified A4 in his garage
