It has been over 90 degrees for over a week now. I am happy to say that the engine is still running well even at these high temps. A few days ago I did get into some detonation at the top of 3rd gear while on the highway running a motorcycle (he quit at 140 mph). The temp was close to 100 though. I am sure once the TEC3 is properly tuned that detonation will be not a problem. Every day once I get home I open the hood to get the heat out, man is it hot under there.

Of note too, I am driving everywhere with the A/C at full tilt. In stop in go traffic the temp needle gets to the one o'clock position on occasion. Highway speeds are no problem with the temp settling at the 10 o'clock. The DIAVA system with R134a is working well.

Remember, I am currently running only one heat exchanger. I have also added Redline water wetter to the cooling system and intercooler.

With the Tec3 an detonation, it depends at what RPM the it happens, if it's above say 4k, your anti-knock system will have little effect as the engine noise is too loud and creating too many resonant frequencies for the system to distinguish it.

So, yu gonna dyno that thing? Sure would be interested in the outcome. Even just preliminary #'s would be interesting as you won't have the FI ECU completely dialed in.

Going to Iraq at the end of this month for at least a year. Chop chop on the BIN file....................I want to run her hard before she goes in storage. If you get me the file soon, I may run her at the 1/8 mile strip by my house.
