Hi my name is Rick. I have been on this board since last january and I have upgraded my car extensively. I now have a 745i turbo kit with a t4 turbo bolted onto it. I began the installation last friday. My head just got back from the machine shop getting the studs drilled bigger. I hope to learn from you guys as much as I can without being a PITA. I hope that my new 545i will kick some ass once the installation is complete. As of now all I have is the original kit. I need my car back on the road soon and I do not have the chip from TCD or the injectors. Is it OK to run the turbo at a low boost until I have the other items I need? If so how much boost can I run?

Does anyone have this stuff for sale?
-30lb injectors
-wideband air/fuel ratio sensor
-boost gauge
-oil temp gauge w/ sensor

I need these Items for my completion of the turbo. Any imput from the experts here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.

We are actually pulling #30 injectors out a car this weekend. Used about 10k miles. $150.

Um... HOW!? We've been trying to figure out how to get a more modern turbo (t4) to fit on the 745i setup. How did you do it!?

You should have talked to me first... for about $30 and some elbow grease you could have just installed 8mm studs that work just as well.

I think you should be safe with up to 6psi of boost on the stock injectors... but you might be cutting it close. Yellow currently has his stock 19# injectors in and his car runs like a champ (finally!). I've run 10psi on my 30#/hr injectors for about 15,000 miles now and I've had no problems - the sparkplugs still come out nice and brown. Hell I still run retardedly rich up here in Boone - down the mountain in Charlotte I still run rich (visible thick black cloud on WOT) - but it's not nearly as bad as it is up here...

The compressor mounting is modified to fit the 745i manifold. So... I should just get the #30 injectors and the chip. The kit also came with a modified wastegate.

19lbs 20lbs - not enough of a difference. I would still not go past 6psi. But don't worry.... 6psi still kicks like a horse :)
then again... 10psi hits like an elephant...
I'm sure 20psi would just tear the fabric of space

But hey - Elaborate more on this "modification" of the T4. You are really a rare bird fitting a T4 onto the 745i manifold and there are dozens of 745i/545i guys that would love to find out how to replace the ancient and limited KKK-27 turbo besides changing the guts....
