where do i mount my boost gauge?

i have a boost/vacuum gauge...
i need the best place to tap a vacuum line
for my gauge...

i don't have a turbo on it yet, but i do want to
check the vacuum at idle and such....

where can i tap a vac line that wont interfere later when i
put the tcd s1 kit in?

are certain places more accurate than others?

Use one of the nipples on the bottom side of the Intake manifold. There are usually 2 sometimes 3 nippes on the bottom side of the manifold where there 3.2/3.5 stamp is. Make sure that the hole isnt clogged with dirt or anything by sticking a hose on it and blowing through it.

The b35 motor has extra, UNUSED vacuum ports on it??? Holy crap!!

The easiest place to get a vacuum signal is the line to the FPR. Cut it, stick a T on it, and plumb your gauge into the T. If you don't want to do that, you could always plumb it to the port that the e28 uses for the cabin temp sensor, but that's the one that's usually used for the wastegate on the turbo. My boost gauge is plumbed into the FPR signal line, so if you're looking for an easy transition from N/A to turbo in terms of your boost gauge, that's what I'd recomend.

Hardest part for me was getting the damn line to go through the firewall grommets!!

Mine is tapped through the nipple on the bottom on the intake manifold -- like what everyone else said. I have a little "T" splitter that splits up the vacuum hose -- It shows vacuum and it shows boost

The e34 m30's have a test port on the line to the brake booster. This is where I attached the map, replacing the afm/maf stuff.
You may want to cap that vacuum to the valve cover breather hose & fab a catch can for the breather to keep the top of the head from seeing boost.
