Todd,
Arent you worried at all about WMDing your engine and throwing some crap into the turbo?

Posted: Nov 20, 2005 9:40 PM
by chrism
turbos are replacable, burnouts like that one are priceless :D

the chunks-o-motor would also have to get thru the pick up screen, the pump, and the filter. so its pretty safe destruction.

I was thinking about the chunks of valve/head that would pass thru the exhaust ports an into the turbo.

The pieces of rings and ring land would have a difficult time entering the combustion chamber. I am done playing now. Car is going back in storage. Building a proper motor this winter.

Would that be a M106 with lots of ceramic coating hear and there? Hopfully you will not have a engine noise like I do once complete.

Todd, you once wrote 3.73's were for low HP cars! But after seeing this, I might just as well get that gearing ratio for my turbo 535i! :D

This car is an automatic. 3.73 is too much for a 5 speed car.

Probably just a m30b34 bottom end with forged 8:1 pistons, MLS gasket, ARP studs and stock m30b35 cyl head.

one fo my buddies runs about 550 rwhp on his lower boost setting at the track with 3.91 gears. he ran it at that boost on the street and just when easing into the throttle on the highway in 3rd gear, he ripped the shit out of the tires.

When i go back to school next month, ill take some pics of my "laying drag" ticket i got in my school parking lot. Cost me $800 in the end with a lawyer. I think I swung it around a good 4x and made very large distinct circles. Good old 535i /w a lsd.

I'm getting new snow tires by the end of this week - hopefully I can go find a deserted parkinglot or road and take some sweet burnout / doughnut shots
