e34 w/m20

What years did the E34 come with the M20 in the 525 series? I am looking at possibly picking up an early e34 525it and tossing a turbo and 5spd at it.

When you say 525it , do you mean touring? like as in Station wagon? Because (in the US) the 525it was not available until 1992 and at that time the m20 was not available. the last year an m20 was found in a e34 was 1990.

Yep, that's what I was trying to do. I knew the early e34's had M20's I wasn't sure if the touring did or not.
