Euro M5 currently on eBay.de

Post by shifty »

I was just perusing the eBay.de stuff, and look what I found.

eBay.de auction # 4623784504

Anyone have any comments about this one? I couldn't find the VIN in the auction, but he/she says it's chassis number 18588.

My only comment is that the options list includes a towbar which I think is strange since the rear suspension on an M5 isn't designed for towing and it actually says in section 6 of the owner's manual under Dimensions & Weights | Trailer Load Limit - "towing a trailer is not permitted".

I am of course talking about the Euro version of the M5 and not the US one which has an entirely different rear suspension setup. Just for curiosity's sake I would be interested to know if towing was permitted for the US M5 if anyone with one would care to look in their owner's manual and report back.

Thanks Duke. 'Ever have one of those nights where you just want to yank someone's chain? The link doesn't seem to tough to do, so why the shortcut Shifty?

Regarding the car, it seems to be getting a bit steep in price for 222,000+ kilometers.
