Remember the discussion about front cover

replacement for people who go with a crank fire ignition and don't need a dizzy?
This product would be useful if you decide to go with the early M30 front cover that has a conventional distributor mount.
It also wins the rip-off part price of the week award!

I don't think it's overpriced at all. Machined out of aluminum? Assuming they are having them made to their specs, that's not a cheap part to make in what are surely very small quantities.

Yes, the chunk of aluminum is pricey for what it is, but can you make one yourself for less? What is your time worth? What is it worth to have a simple, nice looking, drop in solution?
Personally, I would spend many hours and hundreds of dollars coming up with something that probably wouldn't work any better. But it is cheaper than a crack habit.
