In the final stages of putting together the 545i again. This time with a M30B35 engine (9 to1 comp ratio), 3 inch exhaust, and trying to decide between what ECU to use.

Of course I have the 059 but I also purchased an 061 from TC in Germany (Thanks TC) and was wondering if overall this would be the better of the two ECUs to use. The AFM will be deleted and until the engine is broken in the stock 535i injectors will be used.

The only reason to use the 061 would be if your going to run open loop, as the 061(euro ecu) only runs open loop. The only way to run larger injs is to use closed control with the 059.

Assuming your not doing custom programming(see my site for tunning), and your just going to run stock injs and FMU, that will limit your boost level to ~5psi.

If tuning, the 061 has all the same maps as the 059, so all the info at my site applys.

Oh, if you want to run either ECU with larger injs, TCD can sell those to you for any application.
