Hey guys I have been out of the game for a while. After I had the baby in december I have returned my beast back to stock due to the turbo getting some shaft play. I will be finished with school sept 5th and have accepted a job at Casey BMW in Newport News VA.
Anyway.
I want my turbo back now that I will have sufficient income for the project. Last time I installed the turbo I had the head off to get the exhaust manifold threads drilled larger. When I took off the turbo I just took out the engine cause I thought it would make it easier. This time I will be doing it in my driveway cause I will not have the luxury of working on it at school or at my current job at sports and imports.
My question is.... can you get the 745i turbo in a 535i without removing the engine or head? I have already relocated the ABS lines from my previous setup.
second question... what do you guys use to bolt on or off the wastegate housing?
