Most of you should remember Pat P. He is the guy who built the monster E34 "Big Red". He hangs out on Bimmerforums and is now quite active on the FI board again.

Well, he has been perusing the purchase for a Hartge H5S for 12 years and finally got it last week. We are in for yet another monster FI M30/M106 build. Will be fun to watch. I love watching others spend stupid amounts of money on their E28s.

Here is the link to the thread - H5S in a dark and dirty tomb

That Pat has got some seriously crazy cars!

It's Hartge in nameplate only. Motor was replaced with a 745i unit at some point apparently. There's a serious amount of elbow grease that needs to go into that car to make it nice!!

Not that I think Pat can't do it, the car's just a bit of a basket case right now. I'd venture to say it needs even more work than a certain very nice e28 who's journey almost ended in a German junkyard. ;)

Keep us posted on the project. BF.c threads are really hard to follow as the posting volume pushes threads out of view very quickly.

Cool, this one will be fun to follow.

Random question, but what's the white thing parked in front of the Hartge?
