Starting a Turbo Project - ABS car or not?

Is it better to have an ABS car for a turbo project, or get one without the ABS pump so that there is room for the intercooler?

I only want to do this turbo project once, and I want to do it right. I am happy to go Water/Air IC as well, so that may make the A/A IC placement irrelevant.

I wanted thoughts before I committed to a decision.

Thanks,

Mark

If you have the time and tools to do it, I would move the ABS pump or just remove it. During my entire project it has been a hassle for me - it is blocking my only feasable place to place some kind of intercooler -- plus I had to put some serious tilt on the engine to get my wastegate housing to clear my ABS lines....

If you're planning a 745i turbo conversion, a non-ABS e28 is easier to deal with. The TCD kit doesn't have the same clearance issues.
