Crazy question

What would happen if an M70 engine were to be supercharged or turbocharged, has it ever been done and is it worth it I have never seen a BMW V12 with forced induction only seen mercedes V12 with turbos or superchargers.

It's been done, there was some discussion recently re: the turbo-ability of this engine. They can see HP figures well north of 500 IIRC.

Odds are that if you were to install that motor in a car, it would become a fast car.

dinan produced a twin turbo kit for that car a while back so there are some cars running around with that setup. i know of one person in washington d.c. with his own custom twin turbo kit on the car.
