The guy who did my alignment this morning went with me for a "test drive" after he finished and was dumbfounded.

He had worked on the car before when I had the tires mounted and the "lifetime" alignment done. I just replaced the inner and otter tie rods and it need another alignment.

He drives a FWD 98 Eclipse that is running 15 psi.

So we are running down the road and I want him to give me his take on a noise I am having under high boost. I hit 15 psi, WOT in 2nd and the 3rd and ask him what he thinks. He tells me that he was not listening because the car had surprised the hell out of him on how "strong" it was. I gave her a few more blasts. I did one hard 2nd gear pull without an indication to my passenger and he told me that he needs "a warning" when I do that.

This guy is totally involved with the local FI "import" scene and wants me to meet the "group" at a LP Field (Titan Stadium) parking lot on a Saturday night at 10 PM. I don't know, I am about in bed by 10 pm much less an hour away hanging will a bunch of testosterone filled 20 year olds.

There might be some good ideas with different crowds. The mustang guys created the maf kit market(at least in US) that ProM & modern perf enjoyed. I had one of those, before it crapped.

Of course, I don't know how technically involved the kids meeting at 10pm on a Saturday night are gonna be.

Hell yes, go and plant the seed; maybe you'll see more e28s on the road there in another 6 months.

I know what your saying with that gent. In my car, it was always pretty interesting to see the gyrations of people for the first time in my car. The first real pull and you see them scrambling with hands, then look down to find something to hold onto.

That's hilarious!! Duke, perhaps they want you in attendance so they can crown you as their new leader! Maybe they'll sacrifice one of their own ricers to appease the e28 gods...
