Manual boost controller
Manual boost controller
So I picked up a manual boost controller of of ebay this week, and got it installed last night. I swapped back to the 535 injectors at the same time with the higher boost in mind. It cost about 20 bucks for the controller and took maybe 10 minutes to connect. With enough line to hang it out inside the drivers side footwell, I'm able to adjust it on the fly. I still dont have a boost gauge installed, so i don't know how much more its making. With the stock head gasket, head bolts and everything else in mind, I was pretty careful. The results? Its dead even with an Evo 8 from a rolling start at maybe 5 mph. After barely managing to keep up with him, I turned it up some more. I'll have to see just what its up to now, but it feels much faster than it did before the install. I was beginning to get used to it, I just cant allow that. Its compensating for altitude and then some. Definitely a good buy...
