You suck, Todd. I was actually considering an e36 for my next vehicle. The availability of that kit may put the kabosh on that simply due to my proven inability to resist turbo temptation.

Congrats, hope they're all close to or already sold.

My wife is looking at for a nice commuter car. We might try out a '98 328i convertible. She needs the turbo, just does not know it yet....Thanks, Todd.

We may need to talk, indeed. Do you have the prototype kit re-installed?

Nope, it's being delayed until next year. I'll buy another e39 then. This one is totally stock with everything working.

I cannot wait to tell my wife that I bought an e28 to replace the e39. She is going to be really happy.

Top secret until the deal is done. Suffice to say that it is much nicer than any other e28 I have ever owned.

Just so no panties get in a bunch, which can happen rather quickly around here (hell, mine have been wadded up and on the front seat before)....

Todd did not buy Duke's car in any way, shape or form.

But Todd's car is REALLY nice, ask me how I know. ;)
Of course I'm not going to tell you, but you can still ask.

I have an idea which E28 it might be. And turbocharging is all that car needs, IMO...

I am about 100% positive I know the car. And yes, it will be the nicest E28 you have ever owned. Treat it nice.

Nothing like Texas cars....huh ;)

Why not be a total dickhead and post all the pictures? Car isn't even paid for yet. Don't jinx it for me.

That picture really told me nothing other than there's a kmart in the background and the car has a moonroof (you know, 'cuz there's like one of those). I think you'll be safe. Good luck finishing the transaction!

manifolds

is the manifold all one piece where it bolts on? Or does each cylinder have an individual section that bolts on? Does it matter? Just thinking that individual could contract and expand better.

The entire manifold expands and contracts with little differential between the mounting flanges and the "log". Shrinking after being poured was only about 1mm over the length of the casting so normal exhaust temps will have little effect.
