RRFPR/FMU question

Post by g00b86 »

Im in the process of piecing together my own turbo kit, and came across one of these at a really good price. Does this look like something capable to handle low boost like the begi unit? Just looking for a cheaper alternative and i know that comptech is a known name in parts.

I don't have any experience with it personally but I'm pretty sure Comptech uses Vortech's Super FMU and rebadges it and possibly presets it for their kits. You might wan't to read up on Vortech units, as there will be far more info.

I like the BEGi 2025 because you dont need to change any parts to adjust the rate of gain. It works fine for upwards of 10 psi boost. I was using mine at 14 psi for a while. They're good for whatever you set them up for. I've never used a Vortech, but theres nothing about the BEGi that could be improved on.
