I will be installing my in tank Walbro pump this weekend and have a few questions. Are those of you that are running this pump using the stock wiring for the intank pump? Is the wiring sufficient to not have significant voltage drop. I am considereing using the stock fuel pump wire to switch a relay with an additional fused 12v supply from the battery to power the pump.
Also, I am assuming that you just bypass the factory external pump and route the feed line from the tank right into the filter.

I am running both the Walboro pump and the stock external one. No issues...
Those pumps are high pressure GM pumps, and are not known for their longevity in stock applications. As a matter of fact, they fail often. I would rather have both pumps functional so that when the in-tank one craps out, my car will still run on the external one...FWIW, I have not heard of any TCD costomers having problems with them, but you will have to do some modifications to the pickup assembly to make it work properly. Its not plug and play...

It's actually made by Federal Mogul and labeled as Walbro, Carter, Accel and many others.Kyle in NO wrote:I am running both the Walboro pump and the stock external one. No issues...

So Todd, do you delete the factory high pressure pump or do you use the Walbro and the stock pump in series?T_C_D wrote:It's actually made by Federal Mogul and labeled as Walbro, Carter, Accel and many others.Kyle in NO wrote:I am running both the Walboro pump and the stock external one.
