Block clearly looks warped to me. So yes, take the rivets out and spray with Hylomar. That'll work.

It is imposable to guess the RA by looking....you will need a profileometer and someone who knows how to use it. Contact Paul Burke. Make sure it RA 20 or below!

Should be ok for now unless your tensioner dampner is making noise on cold starts. This S4 broke with 109,000 on it. I just did a 1.8 that made it to 130,000, and we have a customer's A6 2.7T car here now that has a waterpump about to fall out at 80,000.

As bad as it sounds to remove the front end of the car , it really only takes about 45 minutes to do it. I bought this S4 partly disassembled by another shop, and they had billed the owner 7 hours for what was actually only about 1 hours worth of work. :(

My A6 2.7T Quattro has 142K on it but the belt, etc was done at 90K. I had the nos off already to install Euro headlights. It makes a nice couch for cruising around but I'm really getting the itch to put my 6er together.

So soon?

I got the itch to put my car back together once. They have cream for that.

Me too. Your old 6er that is. Donor motor will be out of the e28 this weekend.

Still thinking about the m54 though since I finally have motor mounts.
