These are the new and improved maps with the 3mm MLS HG, TCD manifold and 42lb injectors. The compresion ratio is about 7.7 to 1 with the 3mm MLS, so this is quite a bit more timing than I could run on a stock 8.5:1 CR 2.7i motor. The AFR is about 11.5-12 under boost. The car runs very well. So far I've only run the car up to about 220 kpa, its really only tuned well to about 200 kpa. The timing is still quite conservative. I dont want to push it without any kind of knock sensing.

The idle control has come a long way. Now it'll fire up on the first try like it did bone stock. No giving it gas, just turn the key and it fires right up, even if its 25 degree outside. It idles at about 700 RPM on the tach on a cold start and about 800 RPM when fully warm. If you just set the throttle butterfly for the 700 rpm cold idle you'll run about 1500 RPM when hot. Thats pretty crappy. At this point I'm not really going to bother with idle air control. I might still try running stock 528e idle control stuff just to see if i can, but its certainly not a high priority.
Dan, your timing maps look good, very agressive by most of the other m20 maps I have seen but I think most turbo m20 cars run way too little timing under boost. I have been advancing the timing on my maps on my m30 and have been picking up more and more power. I am approaching roughly where you are advance-wise, maybe 2-3 degrees less at peak torque under boost as I am at 9:1 compression.
BTW, what beta code are you running now?
I'm still on the same Alpha code I started out with. I've had nothing but problems messing with loading code and messing with firmware, so I'm sticking with what works. My other MS ECU wont even connect to the laptop anymore. Shits broke.
I think most M20's just doesnt need as much advance. Its a smaller bore diameter than the M30, and I believe it generates more swirl when it fills the cylinders. Thats my theory anyway. I should be able to run quite a lot of boost/timing with the 7.7 CR. Thats the idea anyway.
