Post by TT »

I have had several requests for pictures now that the car is done. Engine has been gone through and interior has been redone.
I will not be getting into the drama of this car and it's back-story, so please don't ask. I just wanted to show the car in it's current condition.

Currently running well, still covering break-in miles.

Please enjoy the pictures.

Thanks,
TT

Looks fantastic Tony.........$$$$ very well spent. I am very happy that it is on the road again. The electric rear window shade is also just about one of a kind.

That is the best looking engine compartment in the E28 community, bar none.

Its good to see my old car again......kinda miss it. :( Take it to a few shows, you will be a winner for sure.

Looks good. I'd think that coolant level sensor would be helpful given the car's history, though... ;)

Thanks guys. This one has been a lot of hard work.
I opted out of having the shop do this car and did most of it myself with the exception of the rod/main bearings, I let my lead tech do those as I don't have the patience.

Looking at the pictures I see I will have to change that upper radiator hose as the color is going to drive me nuts. I also installed the hood shocks upside down. oops. I can't believe I haven't already gotten busted for that.

I am interested in buying the leather door panel bits that go around the outer edge of the door panel, forms the pockets on the front doors. I don't need the leather door card insert, just the outer trim for all four doors. If anyone has them in good shape, please let me know.

Sorry it took so long to get it finished and back on the road, but as many of you know, life happens and cool stuff gets put aside.

I will drop by every once in a while and keep you all updated.

Thanks again,
TT

One of the best colours on an e28... excellent choice Duke. Very handsome.
And amazing work finishing it off TT... absolutely a show winner.

Well, I'll bust you on missing the rubber seals that go along the tops of the fender to seal the hood ;)

Such a nice looking car, Tony / Duke. Arctic blue is, I think, my favorite E28 color.

Only in some of the pics. They are actually stuck to the hood in the others. When the hood opens, they go up with it. Need to fix that also.

TT, seems there's something missing in this shot that wasn't brought up previously...

Because TT was the joker who put that chicken on my engine during 5er Fest 2002, I let him buy the car. He has done the car proud in taking the baton and continuing the mission to make it the best E28 in the world.

I couldn't agree more, Duke. That has been my favorite E28 since all of you dropped by Fort Worth in 2002. And it keeps getting better and better.
