okay guys,..theres been enough interest to justify this next swap. while it will be an employees car. it will ultimately be sold to an enthusiast.
using a clean titled e28,..either 524td or 528e,..we will be pulling the m20 based engine and harness and tossing them.
in its place we will be using a 2.8 liter M52 motor, mods will be mild, M3 cams, early OBD1 manifold, 540/M3 maf and a custom burned chip. HP output should be in the area of 255 horses NA.
it will be backed by a G265 trans and and likely 3.73 to 4.10 gears.
i'll keep you posted as this progresses. the install should be relatively issue free and will be built using all bmw parts...........

cant say with 100% surety. we'll be using a 524td as the basis. if memory serves me right, the car is about 3200-3300 #s....of course that is with all power accesories, (seats, widows, etc) and the supplemental insulation the 524s use.
per the etk engine weights are as follows (short block)

should give you a pretty good aproximation.....
