I was bored today and i decided to swap out to motronic 1.3 to see how the m30b34 runs with it before i swap in the m30b35 in a couple of weeks.

Removed 1.0 and then pics of 1.3 installed. I capped off the purge and the charcoal canister going to the bellows after i took the pic but it runs really well. I finished but ran out of time to go to get vacuum line.

Got rid of the thermotime switch, reference sensors (2), and that pesky cold start valve.
I got a DINAN chip im going to install tomorrow to see what happens.

Jbort modified a super eta wiring harness for me so i can do my swap, many thanks Jay, my project wouldnt have worked without ya ;)

Had to install my m30b35 secondary ignition wires, crank trigger and bracket from the m30b35, the m30b35 harmonic balancer, super eta coolant temp and sender sensors, super eta harness, m30b35 small case starter (half the weight of the large case) and super eta oxygen sensor. took me about 5 mins to remove the starter, its pretty easy.

Its much smoother than motronic 1.0 and will see how it affects my fuel economy with a 3.73 LSD

Remember, all you'll wind up with is a shiny piece of shit. Matt, I think it's cool that you tried the b34 on 1.3. I don't know if anyone has tried that before. I had a feeling it would run well though.

You will LOVE the B35 compared to a US spec B34... It's quite a nice difference.

Found out my oxygen sensor was bad now that i have a check engine light :alright:
I went for a long drive and fuel economy went up, not sure if it is because of the fuel maps of the b35. Engine runs much smoother, idles real nice, and the DINAN chip pulls real hard at WOT. A big improvement over stock for sure.

Wait until you actually get the b35 in there. Motronic 1.3 is adaptive so fuel will be trimmed as you drive. Make sure you get an o2 installed as 1.3 is always referencing it as it it runs closed loop all the time and won't run right w/o it.

winner winner chicken dinner... so how did the Motronic 1.3 run in the b34 once you got a chance to feel it out more? I know you already upgraded to the b35, but am just curious about the b34 + Motronic 1.3 setup.

It's probably like a B35, but not as badass.
