Is it possible to search within a thread?

Post by cvillebimmer »

I'm trying to search the "Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread" for feedback on a particular seller. Any suggestions?

Use the Google custom search part of the forum search. Enter the search string as follows (quote symbols and all)

"Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread. Post your experiences here." AND "username"

Should at least get you close with only a few results to deal with.

That seems to find posts made by the person in question, not feedback about them (which would have been posted by someone else).

If you've got a better way, I'd love to hear it. That search will find all instances where a particular user name (or any string of characters for that matter) is used in that particular thread.

Is there any way to just search the threads you authored for a word or phrase? I'm trying to dig something up and can't seem to find it by just manually searching my old posts. Plus its tedious as heck...

Have you never noticed the "Search for Author" box?

just another source of searching certain terms on a page, for pc users press "ctrl" and "f" and box should pop up to find exact terms you search for. The only catch is that it only works for the page currently opened.
