Selling my E34 540i

Post by Hutch »

1994 E34 540i
93k miles - Alusil engine with only 55k miles.
K&N drop in air filter. Very strong runner. A Dinan chip would make this car a true beast. The E34's M60 engine doesn't have the same low end grunt as the M62 but it loves to rev.
Perfect style 19 BMW BBS alloys (5) with Pirelli P6 235/45 R17 - tons of tread remaining. They only have about 10k on them. I have it set up about half way between stock and sport so it doesn't chew up tires like my E39 did.
Front suspension completely re-built, Redline in the rear end. Eibach springs / KYB shocks / front strut brace – sits nice, handles great.
High quality sheepskins / Blaupunkt head unit.
Tons of service records
Complete top end engine re-seal, new radiator hoses, expansion tank etc…
Automatic transmission serviced / fluid & filter change.
Ice cold air – so cold my wife complains!
I love the car, I just have too many cars.
18 ~ 19 MPG City, 24 ~ 25 MPG Highway – really, no joking.
No instrument cluster issues.
New Windshield
What it needs – a good home. Passenger seat cables, clear coat on roof going, but looks good when waxed regularly. Could use a set of new floor mats. It's an auto, so there is that potential issue. Of course, since I decided to sell, a couple of small things have come up. The shift lever has a $4 part (which I have) that covers the opening that is bad. The drivers side rear window guide ($12 and I have it) is bad.

I just drove to NC and back and it was very nice. At about 90, it just settles in so nice. Good thing EVERYONE was going that fast. :D

$7500 obo

Nice car. My only possible nit is the disco style headunit, easily fixed however. ;-)

Someone is going to get a solid, fun ride. Best of luck with the sale.

I still have the factory original radio which is fried. I hear they can be repaired. I also have the original trunk mounted CD changer.

I have this strange feeling that I won't get much help selling the car on this site. I say that because I have said if it doesn't sell, my Silver Euro conversion car will probably go on the block. And that seems to be the car everyone is interested in.

That car is beautiful. I wish you the greatest luck offered in this universe with the sale. I really like that color as well.

Thanks! Its kind of a stealth car. Enthusiasts like it but to the general public, it seems invisible.

My zinno E28 535is is the opposite. Total strangers ask me "what is that?" and seems to catch everyone's eye. I have had a guy wait for me outside the bank to tell me that when he was in the USAF in Germany, they saw cars just like this and loved them. I just wished it was as nice as wkohler's (Chris?) car.
