My Euro e28 - Stanceworks Style

As some of you may know I recently bought a 1986 525e Euro e28, and this weekend I went up and spent some quality time on it with my good friend Mike (SpasticDwarf). I had a Z4 3.0i for a while, and decided to change it up a bit, and get into something I could throw some cash at. I am immensely happy with how it turned out, and will let the pictures speak for themselves. A big thanks has to go out to Mike for the help this weekend, and sticking with me in the heat. A thanks has to go out Shawn D as well for helping me out with emissions, wouldn't be driving around without him. It is still a work in progress but it has some big plans in store for it in the future so stay tuned!

P.S. the burgundy/brownish interior, is that really euro only?

Thanks guys!

The wheels are 17x9 et6 and 17x10 et17, and it is currently just on a spring/shock setup. I will be getting something new in that department in the future. As far as the interior, that is actually a typo. Just did some research, someone had said to me that the Taurus Red was Euro only, looks like I was way wrong there. Still new to e28's

oh ok, i thought for a second that i'll never be able to fix the driver/passenger seats in my m535i. i LOVE the width and offset. I was hoping to try some wheels like that... must've been expensive. there were rubbing issues when you turn the wheels?

very nice. what finish is on the wheels? they look brushed or something.

Thanks guys. Right now it is just on a temporary spring and shock setup, but hoping to do ground controls or bag yards in the future.

The rubbing is very minor, the rear never touches, and the front only hits when trying to make a U-Turn or similar, not too bad at all.

Nice Stance! Not too much camber, no stickers, very good, in my opinion.

Although... I think those wheels would look much better if the centers were black, with polished rims. Just sayn'....

Love the wheels, like the car, I'm meh on the "stance". Too f'ing low.

Car could be a real beaut' if it weren't scraping the ground.

I like the photos, but I won't say anything about the car. That wouldn't be nice.

Photos are excellent, but that rear camber makes it look like Bambi trying to stand up on the ice...Too 'leaux' for moi.
The rest of the car looks terrific though.

I agree with Jay.

The car looks great and I like the how the raised portions of the spokes are brushed. I just can't get over how the rear wheels look broken. Since the OP says the current suspension is temporary, maybe this issue will be addressed. That would make it perfect.

In a world without speed bumps and potholes and driveway entrances, I might run my car that low. This is not that world. Looks cool, though.

While me and rear tuck aren't getting along (mostly because of the arch height difference front to rear), your car is dead sexay!

I love the tucked rear look. For me, when I lowered mine after the coilovers were in, the view from the rear gets me every time now. I think the E28 is one of those cars that takes the cake with the "squat" look, especially in person. It's definitely different, but I was sold on it after driving behind Burrough's rusty at fixxfest. These cars are gorgeous no matter how high or low I think.

looks clean, smooth, and "in your face" LOW.

it does make me want to go "spoiler-less" on the trunk...always liked that...

I give the rear tires 5k miles before cords are showing on the inside shoulder...

Chances are that you'll mash the oil pan before that ever happens though, so look on the bright side!

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Shawn,

It is back up on Suspension Techniques and Style 5's with no stretch for the time being, so you can like it for a little while longer while I work on the next set of wheels

I like it as well. The pictures exaggerate it a bit, it looks more "normal" in person sitting that way. Love the way they look that low when driving behind it.

Kept forgetting to get/post interior pictures so here are a couple from the previous owner. It is in great shape except for the driver seat which needs to be recovered and a glovebox is installed now

Stunned when I saw it on Stanceworks, and still am...far and away my favorite E28, or even BMW, ever. Pictures are perfect, and car is disgustingly beautiful...love it, and keep up the good work. Hopefully mine will be there someday.
