Pretty sure I'll be replacing our E34 525iT.
http://www.mye28.com/viewtopic.php?t=86916
Not 100% sure that's gonna happen, but I'd like to see what's out there in preparation for the big day.
Any and all links would be appreciated.
This will be my wife's daily driver, so it has to be nice.

KBB and NADA values will be used as a guideline.

Curious what decent running E34 tourings go for these days ...good looking wagons.

Nice, never used that site before. I use SearchTempest.com to scan all of craigs.

+1 for searching via

Be sure to use something like Firefox though or it'll mock you.

Thanks Paul.
This one
http://york.craigslist.org/cto/2139042901.html looks to be in about the same condition ours
was,
but at 230% of the price.
Something a bit closer to home, would be preferred, if it's going to be priced so correctly.
I'll play with the crazedlist.org some tomorrow, and I use FF.

That should help with the comp, then.
Just follow the directions for setting the relays in FF and crazedlist will allow you to endlessly waste money buying stuff you would never have seen otherwise.

Which models came with "ASC traction control"?
Is there a way to tell by the VIN?

by mooseheadm5
I thought all the 94/95 had it, but I could be mistaken.

I've already agreed to a settlement, very close to that.
But it ain't all going back into a T, I hope.
We're wanting to give ourselves a deed for Christmas this year.

Thanks, that's exactly what I need (see above).

Sherman I think the ASC was always just an option . My 94 and Gregs 95 both do not have it .
I believe the rear self leveling was all pre 94 Touring models , Vanos was added in 93. Good luck on the search Sherman it is so hit or miss on finding a keeper.

BMWCCA's website had a really nice '95 525iT in NY. I think it had 55k miles and the asking price was $8500 or so. I am not sure what KBB is, but given those low miles if the car is as it appears to be advertised, that would be the car I would investigate.

Thanks Ray,
It's overpriced, according to KBB and NADA, but more than that, it's a bit more than what I'm willing to spend.

More than you are willing to spend is one thing, but you know the KBB and NADA undervalue most every old BMW, especially oddball desirable cars like the E34 wagon or the 318ti.

I agree, but for me, it's been a good place to start.
I'm sure the car at 55K is well worth the $8,500 to the right person.
That just ain't me.

Did they ever make a 1995 540iT 6-Speed with a sport package?
EDIT: Teach a man to fish if there's a place to look online.

Man this is great, once I figured out how to set it up on FF, thanks for the heads up Dave.
Works great and even found a couple fairly close to home that I'll be contacting.
One way
or the other, we'll be back in a Touring.

I might be hot on your heels looking for a touring. I'll have to pick up your scraps.
Are manual e34 tourings really that rare? I can't find a single one for sale right now...

No US manual tourings. Mine gets a third pedal soon, though.

Damn. I thought Kohler's was a factory manual.
That may push me into an e39. I don't really feel like doing a swap.

Import one like this:

(This one not for sale that I know of).

John,
That looks like a nice car, but what do you think about the '92 being upgraded with the wide kidneys and hood, together with the '95 style steering wheel? I am concerned about a serious front end impact. Thoughts?
(You guys have me looking at tourings now. Nice.)
