Individual Regional Forums

Post by austin8753 »

This idea has probably been brought up at least once before. If has, sorry in advance.

I think there should be a section for individual regional forums-- PAC NW, SO Cal, Midwest, etc. I think it's easier to plan events or just have a conversation in a section that applies to the people from that area only, then to have to weed through Gen. Con. to find it.

That's just me. How do the rest of you feel about that?

There aren't that many posts on this forum each day. You could start your own website, but I think a PNW Bimmer group already exists.

We need to have 4 moderators for each section, too. Make that 4 moderators per thread.

I wasn't aware of one. Then again, I haven't really looked.

I think creating regions on this site might just be easier, since we have everyone already on this site. Plus, I'm sure there are people that don't belong to a group. I know, for the PDX E28 group on Facebook, there are 22 members. I know we have to have more than 22 Portland (and surrounding area) members on here.

Just a thought :D

Didn't really think about that much either. There are a lot of people that spend a lot of time on the board that could possibly be a Moderator/Beamter. However, it's their choice and they might not want to.

I think Chris was being facetious. ;) There are no mods.

I don't think an event section would be a bad idea, but that's as far as I'm going to agree with you on this topic. Individual regional sections would never be used and it would be a waste of time for a Beamter to set up.

We used to have a section for stuff like that, but it never got used, so it just fell into General Conversation.

There are not enough people on this forum to really justify it. The only really busy threads are the political flame wars. Or Blake's, I forgot about Blake's.

I guess you have a point. I like how R3vlimited is set up with their regional forums. I think it works pretty well. That's an opinion though.

Thanks for your thoughts guys!

Yes, it's been brought up multiple times.

"Weed through"? There are only ~3 pages per week, so if you come here once a week, it shouldn't take you that long.

I don't like it, nor do any of the other Beamters. It ain't gonna happen.
