No reserve, Executive package, with a 5 speed. Someone should check it out. It looks in pretty good shape
If I wasn't in CA you guys wouldn't have heard about it until it was in my garage!

That's a cool car. If I hadn't already determined that if I'm going to buy a 7 series its going to be an E38 and likely a Sport then that would have been high on my radar.
There have been a few interesting cars in Chattanooga TN lately. This one, there is still an 88 635CSi for sale down there, plus another one I'm forgetting at the moment.

Perhaps worth it for the spoiler alone.

I agree its not perfect. And what's with those fog lights? Looks like someone retrofitted some oddball lenses recessed in that spoiler.

A lot of rust. I was really close to pulling the trigger on this car. Had a local enthusiast check it out and decided it wasn't worth the asking price.

that car sure has a lot of cool goodies! That interior sure is a filthy mess though

I never imagined how cool those wheels would look on an E23.

Just out of curiosity, what was the asking price?

The local asking price is listed in the auction.
How many miles are really on this car? The gauge cluster is from an earlier era than the 10-85 production of this car.
Rear valance needs work but might accept that work and look good.
This would be a great parts car for my Hartge. Nutria dash, lots of parts. Seems like a nicely optioned car with the power seats, mirrors, sunroof, windows, heated seats, executive fitment, special electric fan to replace the fan clutch driven one and the semi-automatic HVAC and no OBC.
Oh the local sale price was stated as three grand.

Sorry. I missed it the first time I looked at the ad.

First time I saw the CL ad, he was asking $2800 (Middle of March). It ran again about 2-3 weeks ago for $2000.

Which wheels are those? I've been to
http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com and looked till I grew old and gray, but I can't identify those wheels. They look like style 165's, but they're not quite right. What are they?
I probably don't want it, what with the rust issues. Tempting though. Still love that spoiler, and the color, and the interior, and the 5 speed with LSD, and the.....

I believe that they are 134's.
And I know what you mean. I wrestled with this for a while myself.

Worth the asking price for that TRX tire

$1925 isn't too bad. Could really have been a deal if it's not a basket case. Anyone here pick it up?
Sure the rust is a bummer, but rust can be repaired. If it is too far gone then just find a clean US example and switch over all the cool euro bits. That's the great thing about e23's, it all just bolts right on.

There are nine billion Euro E23s over here, and most in the general condition of this car sell for very little, so why buy a rusty one if you don't have to?
I believe this is the car, if I'm not mistaken.

As usual, you are not mistaken (on either point).
