Understand not E28 related but I am asking if anyone has one of these fan clutches laying around, BMW PN 11521260459.

I need the inside diameter of the bearing sleeve. Checking out part number cross reference in the after market and looks like this will also fit my Triumph Stag. Beck/Arnley 130-0052.

The Stag inside bearing sleeve is 15/16".

Fan clutch also fits E23, E9, E24 (early) and E3.

Will purchase a genuine BMW one if it will fit. If someone has one and can take photos of each side (has to be a BMW one) that will help. Want to confirm that the BMW one has a machined boss for the fan on the side that does not have the angled fins.

Thanks.

Dave

The early bolt on fan clutch? They never came on E21's, but on M30 BMWs from about 73 -79, plus later E23s. I've got 3 or 4 of them, I'll try to take some measurements and pics tomorrow.

Mike,

Thanks for pointing that out about the E21, changed to E12, slight typo error.

Here is the list of models that this PN fits.

Depending on what I measured, and things are a slip fit, not a press fit, I came up with dimensions ranging from .932-.938. Or right around 15/16. Which it's closer to than any standard metric size. I only got a pic from one side, but I do also have the hub and washer pictured which should give you a little more idea of what it looks like.

In a shameless plug, I would be more than happy to sell one of my collection if you're interested, $35 shipped for the clutch alone, or $45 for the clutch, hub and washer.

Hi Mike,

The sleeve ID is the same, thanks for checking.

Need a picture of the other side of the coupling if at all possible?

Thanks,

Dave
