KYB Gas-a-Just -- What's In A Name?

My car has a bit of rake to it, and I'd like to level things out a bit. When I last had the wheels off, I took a closer look at the shocks & springs to see what it would take; looks like when the PO replaced the shocks, he put a set of KYB Gas-a-Just shocks on the rear axle...

... so it got me to thinking that maybe there's actually a way to adjust them... But looking at the info on the KYB website and digging around here a bit, that doesn't seem to be the case. The -a- in the name is for "automatic", in that the shock automagically adjusts its firmness to match road conditions.

So, if that's correct, what's the best way to bring the rear end of the car down a bit so it doesn't look like a redneck's jacked up Ford LTD?

Bilsteins and lowering springs. Or if you want adjustable dampers, Spax and lowering springs. Or, if you want to keep the crappy KYBs, cut the springs.
