I know nothing about forum software or managing one or basically anything techinilogical like that and I'm too lazy to find out for myself by searching, so if one of you male models in the Beamter section could tell me that would just be the shiznit.
On some forums, when someone replies to one of your subscribed threads and you receive the advice e-mail which is triggered by such an event, a small preview of the content of the reply post is included in the text of that e-mail. Maybe only the first couple of lines or so and certainly not including any formatting or embedded images or anything like that.
It's a useful feature particularly when the reply is only "Yes" or "Thanks" or "Blow me" or something equally short. You have an idea immediately of the substance of the reply and therefore a better idea of whether you wish to log back on straight away to add another reply or whatever considering your free time available right at that moment of e-mail receipt.
I was just wondering firstly a) If such an option is possible with the current forum software... and b) If it is, then would you please consider enabling it?
Thank you for your time and understanding.

Does the phorum software allow a preview in notice e-mail?
No popcorn needed. The PM thing got shut off because people kept trying to reply to the PM by replying to the e-mail, which simply doesn't work.

See, now, to me that sounds more like a curse than a blessing. I'm now terrified to answer your original question.may the seed of your loins be fruitful in the belly of your woman

Doesn't the e-mail come suffixed with the generic "Do not reply to this e-mail. You must log in to MyE28.com to reply to this topic blah blah..." sorta bizzo?Jeremy wrote:The PM thing got shut off because people kept trying to reply to the PM by replying to the e-mail, which simply doesn't work.
And if not, then I presume there is a customisable area where such text can be inserted by your very fine self there young Jezza?
Surely that would solve the problem for all but the most stupid would it not? Can we give this another try? Sure there will always be some teething problems with any new change, but is only 3 days of testing as suggested by Chris really being fair?
