Pukar Designs?

Post by jhh925 »

I've been waiting on one of my orders for just barely shy of one year. (I have another outstanding item with him that's older - but the critical item is now a year gone by.) I've tried sending emails to find out my order status, but I just get his autoresponder.

Has anyone heard from him? Is anyone getting any stickers from him?

Same experience. Bombard him with emails.

Same here. My last email from a month or so ago resulted in a canned email apologizing for the delay and promising attention very soon. If there was another similar quality vendor for these labels, I would have resorted to that months ago.

There is this guy on ebay, but I'm a bit leary; last time I bought a label off a guy on ebay (based out of Columbia) it wasn't so great as he didn't get the color correct.

Given the state of Pukar, I may just buy one or two individual labels and see what they're like since we're running out of options it seems.

^^^ Yeah, I've seen those. But his stuff is not what I need. Pukar is the only option, unfortunately. Perhaps his family dilemmas will resolve shortly.

I've actually worked directly with "german_decals." It was a very, very good experience. He (she?) is very responsive, showed me proofs, corrected issues, etc. The quality is not as good as pukar, but it's not far off either.

Take a look at this post in my build thread ... scroll down to about the eighth pic. The yellow "Actung!" sticker is pukar, the paint code is german-decals. If you don't see what you need from german_decals, try to message him/her directly.

I second this. They are very highly regarded in the aircooled Porsche world

Jens: Let me know what you're going to ask them for, I'd be interested in seeing which ones they can make. Maybe we can group an order.

Same here. I placed an order more than a year ago, and to my emails the guy responded that he "is going through some personal stuff but I will honor your order just please be patient sorry sorry"

I need the "protect your investment - use only BMW parts" orange sticker on the window-washing fluid reservoir.

1976 2002s used a similar/same sticker - Carbone might have already done them, or check with Jaymic.com in UK, or Rogerstii.com or bimmerdoc.com in CA.

I'll throw my name in the pile. Ordered 7/19 of last year and still waiting. I believe he is the only one reproducing the elusive power steering reservoir cap stickers (3 total). If anyone else reproduced these I would cancel.

I just had 10 of the "protect your investment" stickers made, I think I found the right Pantone for the sticker. I will post a photo of how they came out when I get them next week.

If they look good I will sell them at my cost of $7 each plus postage stamp. The one that came off my car was vinyl, these will be too. If you are interested in one let me know.

I was stupid enough to order from Pukar again for another project. Just about a year gone since that last order. No stickers, and no explanation from him why he won't send the stickers. Fucking hell.

Just don’t. There are many sellers on eBay that have pretty much anything you’ll want. Might not be the same quality but at least you’ll get it. There’s a guy even selling the power steering rez stickers and reproductions of the vin sticker on the DS door jamb.
