Unfortunately, no. I had planned on going but I've got a long-standing commitment the first weekend in May that takes priority. I am planning to bring this thing to The Vintage, though. It'd be great to see you there.
Thanks for all the nice comments on the car, guys!
The car looks very good and I'm happy to see that you saved it. The BBS RS alloys would look more period correct if they had larger aspect ratio tires and the standard BBS finish but overall, job very well done, Kudos!

That's a shame. That would have been a great debut. Doubtful on the Vintage but I will look forward to the pics of your red ride.gray635 wrote:Tim:m-racer wrote:Sharkfest, Boone NC?

This pic is from the archives at BMW klassik.Clearly visible is the lower front stripe and the Dekor stripes. The same car appears in the 1985 ///M635 sales brochure. Perhaps this scheme was for press cars or special order. Either case, there is precedent.rcbmw wrote:The stripe on the lower front spoiler would not be correct for your M635CSi and I wouldn't add it (the stripe is also not original to car photographed earlier in the thread). The lower front stripe was always and only used in conjunction with cars with the Slimline stripe and never the Dekor stripe.gray635 wrote:Hey John! Actually, I have been thinking about that. The next job is to convert the car back to the euro lights and washer system and ditch the sealed beams that are on the car now.

It's not in the pristine condition yours is but I like her. Some pics at

BMW Mobile Tradition also shows the (NLA) front stripe as an option in coordination with the dekor stripes. Warning: the drawing shows an e30 which is a little confusing.
