5erWest 2014 -- July 18-20
**2014 REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN**

Northwest BMW Club invites you to attend 5erWest along the Willamette River in Gladstone, Oregon just south of downtown Portland. 5erWest is a celebration of the fine lineage of the BMW 5er.

It is not our intent to exclude any BMW enthusiast from attending 5erWest.

Although 5erWest spotlights the 5 series, it is also a gathering of ALL BMW enthusiasts. We welcome other BMW makes to attend and would like to give special encouragement to owners of other vintage “roundels” to show up in force! Special parking may be arranged if possible.

Although we are trying to keep this event free, if you wish to make a financial contribution in place of a traditional FEE, we've added a secure Paypal donation link for your convenience. Thank you.

If I have good, reliable wheels by then I will probably head up, doubt I'll have a BMW though, so won't register. (Yes I'm heading back to the states, couple things in the pipeline).

Made it out to the '10 event, loved it, and said I'd be back! Love 5erWest!!

Done.
Here's hoping I'll make it this year. In what car, I don't know yet (registered the M535i, so I guess that's the incentive).

This IS my favorite event each year; it is definitely worth the journey. Looking forward to seeing all the PNW crew again.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, registrations and support! I'm having some personal issues that were making it hard for me to get motivated to start organizing this again, but I'm feeling way more positive about things now.

We were sorting some issues out with the registration form and had to switch things around entirely, but it was a good excuse to add a bit of pre event tshirt info to make sure that folks are getting the sizes that they're interested in.

There is a small chance that I may offer some simplified, throwback shirts that feature the color and design of previous years. I want to make sure that Kohler has a year 1 shirt that he can actually WEAR!!

The 5erWest team is getting organized to make this event another success. We''ll be getting active on our Facebook page and making some upgrades on the 5erWest website, too. If anybody reading this is a whiz at WordPress and has some ideas to help jazz up the website, PM me!

It's all of YOU that make this event a success and is the only reason that I will keep doing it. Thanks.

Looking forward to this. The cars are always great to see but I go for the people. Its one of the best events I have ever been to. I really hope anyone considering going this year will. It is totally worth the drive from Phoenix for me. That white M535i went twice. It didn't go in 2012 because I brought a 7-series to a 5-series event.

I loved that 7! Since you were behind Tyler and I on the drive and I was out the sunroof taking photos, the old e32 got lots of press that year... pretty much making most of those shots useless for promoting the show/drive. ;) Felt like royalty sitting in the back surrounded by all that blue velour.

That would be amazing! Guess that kinda puts a lock on year 6 for me.

Thanks for all the support and registrations!

I've been buried with "life" and haven't had much time to dedicate to rampant internet promotion of the event this year. This also means that I haven't had time to actively pursue sponsorship donations for the raffle.

If you would like to get involved and have an idea or would like to make a donation, please PM me and we can work out the details. We're just a couple months away and when I slow down and really consider what this means, I get happy.

So.... you get happy, too and go register!

MyE28.com has a new look, the Vintage is over and I'm sure something else is happening. Everyone is stressed out.

5erWest is only TWO MONTHS away. Make plans to join us in Gladstone, Oregon this year. Registration is open and we'd love to see you there. The event is open to all BMWs, but there's of course an emphasis on the 4 series. Wait. 5 series. That's the one. We always have a great showing of E28s and this year need not be the exception! Its totally worth the drive. I've been to every event so far and will not miss this one. Or number six now that I know it's happening.

Don't forget this year is the big one. The Cinco. The fifth one. Jake explained to me last year what that meant and it seems really great somehow linking the number 5 with the 5 series cars. I don't know why I never thought of it myself.

You have to be there. Doesn't anyone want to ask Mike in Seattle how he can make his hood open nearly 90º? That's not something you could ask him via PM. That kind of question needs to be asked in person.
