HG #2 GONE!

Post by M. Holtmeier »

PSA: I played with the wrong rev limiter settings and lost a head gasket this morning.

Happy Holidays, everyone!

It's always a chance to make improvements. I've got over 40k miles on this turbo e28. One engine, lots of plugs, a different turbo system all together and half a dozen clutches. I've had fun.

Maintenance isn't really post worthy. It's like changing the oil and coolant. Happy Holidays!

Just to clarify (if I may), IIRC Zane either had a handle on mye28 or website called BMW Performance not to be confused with the member here on the board BMW Performance. They are 2 separate items. This one tripped me up a while back.

Zane's is bmwperformance. Mine has a space. Zane never posts so he never uses it. Last time he did was 2008 and he only has 7 posts. When I joined in 07 he was building me an e24 similar to his e12 but not so shiny.

So, is that headgasket pictured above from your car or Zane's?

The picture is when Zane blew it in south GA on the way back from 5er fest in Chattanooga.
