Need help! Power sport seat side cover removal

Post by gwb72tii »

I'm trying to remove the side cover to my sport seats, the cover where the thigh bolster switch locates. I can't see where there are any screws/bolts holding it in place, but I really don't want to just pull on it and break it.

How do you get the darn thing off?

IIRC it's held in by a plastic push pin.

Got it. Removed the pivot screw on either side the backrest which allows you to pivot the bottom frame up a bit, and there is in fact a pin on the bottom of the seat frame. The cover has a slot that has a bigger area at the end so the pin fits thru, and then it slides forward (backward?) into the smaller slot to locate the cover. The pin essentially looks like a little mushroom.

IIRC and I'm not positive, but I think it's located by a couple of plastic pins and clamped in place by the seat tracks. Meaning you have to pull the seat to remove it.
