T-70 is way big. Unless your running 600whp, forget it. If its free, well, its still too big...

It will spool like a dog on a M30 engine!

ok . well i kinda thought so. they have emm on ebay for $239.00 bucks new. so if any one has a car that can spool that got get yur self one. but how about a t-6 or am i still aiming to big . i have a t-3 turbo thats rebuilt but i think that one would be a little small.

i had a deisle turbo . but i gave it away cus the exaust housing had a few cracks in it. i feel dumb i didnt check it out better but it was a cheap lesson luckly.

umm so recap " what size turbo should i buy" preferably a garrett turbo!

and dose my car have enough displacement to run two t-3 turbos?
these Q's are more of curiosity than idea. but i do think twin threes would look nice under my hood. if it was possible .

Those sub-$400 turbos on dabay are all cheap chinese knock offs that won't last more than a few years. If you wan't to go that way, be my guest.

Did you look at TCDs website for the turbo he uses, or my site.. those ones are good.

T-3 is pretty small. Yes, you can use two, if you wan't to fab up a custom exhause or try to find an old Cartech unit.

The TO4b or TO4e like TCDs are the right units.

ok well i will keep that chines knock off thing in my head when i go on ebay next . yur right on the cheap part i went and looked again. there cheap like you said. so go for a t-4 then an i should be happy. as to the twin 3 Q cant i just bend my header and well a flange on it and bolt my t3 setup to that and run the waste gates linked to one vac line with a T on it and then spen hrs adjusting them? i have a two peice exaust header there iron with steel down pipes. would this be suficent . i saw another bmw at the track built his turbo manifold ths way.

HOLY RUN-ON SENTENCE BATMAN!

Jeezus, I have never written that poorly, even when in elementary school. Dude, by being lazy, you come off as an idiot. Take your time and create a post of which we can decipher some information!

Way too small, IMO. Just take a look at the compressor map. Youll be off the right side in no time. Its almost too small for my 2.0l nissan engine. I highly recommend that the original poster go pick up a copy of Maximum boost and read away. Many of the questions being asked will be able to be answered with a little research.
As to making a manifold, I am building a manifold adapter from weld-els. I had a little free time last night and did a quick and dirty mock up for next weekend.

I think the duct tape will be fine ;)

T3 flange?

Did you port the exhaust manifolds to match the head now that they're inverted?

I figured Id just rock the duct tape too. 8) A freind had a blowzilla which, for those that dont know, a Gt40 comp wheel with a t3 hotside. Now I if I hadnt gotten such a good deal on the turbo, id be running a t4 flanged turbo. However, the good news is that its a 76 trim t350 turbine wheel(the largest t3 wheel if I read correctly) in a .82 A/R housing. This should be roughly comprable to a .58 T4 housing, albeit a tad smaller. Well see how it works out.
I do intend to port the manifolds as they done quite match up when iverted. I havent dont it yet, but its on the list of things to do.

jsut so you know, t6 is the flange and not the turbo and anything that has a t6 flange is made to support over 1000 rwhp and isn't even efficient until upwards of 30 psi. so without a $30k built motor, a t6 turbo is useless on a m30 (or any) motor.

how about two t-3 one on each manifold? would that make for fast low psi stable boost pressure? like peak 15psi but steady 9 psi? question of curiosity please dont shoot lol

twin turbos have shown little to no gain over a single turbo -- plus -- fitting two turbos in the engine bay requires alot more creativity and skill. One turbo, correctly sized -- is all you need
