Ran out to it through pouring rain & pea-sized hail to roll the windows up. Middle son is gonna be spending some quality time detailing the interior tomorrow.

Fixed my A/C with a $10 can of R134 from autozone, installed seatbelt 'upgrade' in case the A/C doesn't hold the charge, and installed new odometer gears.

I've got new bilstein sports/hr springs and shock mounts, upper control arms with hd bushing, rear subframe bushings, and sway links and bushings and a full cooling system r&r for the m54 taking over my kitchen. Hopefully it'll all get done next week.

Parked it and dropped the insurance. I think a 5-speed swap will be in the works in the next few months.

Pirated the horn relay to test my power windows once I determined that no voltage was making it to the window circuit breaker. FIXED!

...now I need another relay for the horn.

Progress, sort of.

Finally decided to fix the OBC light bar by soldering in LEDs. Love it.

...oh, and oil change.

Headers = on.

Rest of the exhaust = off.

Gotta do some fab work and welding to get it back together, hopefully tomorrow.

Yesterday aaron, jeff, and i performed the 5 speed swap on the 88. At a leisurely pace it took us almost 9 hours... but everything was done right and professionally. I need a new driveshaft though, but it still made it back to raliegh just fine.

I love the manual with the 3.46 lsd!! Win!

Stole it from my son & drove it to work today; gas gauge is down to empty, so time for dear old dad to fill it up. Reminded again of how much I like driving this car. There's still a pile of items on the to-do list that I'm reminded of every time I drive it, but I just like it!

The other day I had my 528 hauled off (07 5er fest raffle car/09 worst in show winner  )

It is pretty cool to see how many different and way nicer cars got parts off of it after I crashed it.

This is before the strapdown,

This is my Stanceworks shot.

However, today I pulled the head off of my m90 that is going into the 535is, and discovered someone used a regular m30 gasket rather than the s38 one.

The scrap yard.

They were heavy/curbed repros that came on my 535is when we bought it.

on Saturday I refilled the transmission (took just over a liter...) I'll fix that shift selector seal eventually... Also adjusted the valves, had to fiddle with basically every one... and cleaned the valve cover.

On Monday (Holiday here) I changed my engine oil and differential oil. Holy cow were the diff plugs ever hard to loosen.

got a friend to look at my springs and the possibility of helping me cut them as well.

Replaced the groaning dogbones with some shiny new Lemfoerders; much quieter.

Image

Anybody know why there's only one washer included with the dogbones? The old & busted ones had only one washer, and it was on the top joint, at the strut housing. :dunno:

I don't need anything right now. Currently they carry my Blizzaks for my E90 so I still need them.

You snagged me a Gatorade right before we left The Hawthorne for RTT. I don't think I ever got you back.

Moved it from one side of the garage to the other now that the 535is is gone. It had stolen the E12's spot temporarily. Washed it while it was out.
