I got Homestyle Chicken & Noodles in Gravy but I just pulled a switcharoo with the guy in the next cube who is out in the field. I now have Zesty BBQ Sauce & Potatoes with Beef.

Liberal use of the ice bag along with plenty of groaning while walking like a cowboy ought to garner some serious sympathy from the wife this weekend. You did, after all, take the hit for her. She owes you. ;)

I went through the snip procedure about 10 years ago. About two years later my wife ended up needing a hysterectomy.

I'm afraid that my next wife will want kids. The last time a vasectomy was discussed, I almost got one for free!

I have 5 separate folders in my Email right now for cars I'm researching to potentially purchase. Of course I'll only buy one but I'm seriously over-thinking this stuff!

Dood - your own travel kits are so much better stocked! You would do a MUCH better job than Lorrie or Bob?!?!? Why are you not filling those kits?

In other news, I'm in need of serious help. The wife is in the City for the night with kid #2 watching one of the Jonas boys on Broadway. I'm sitting here sipping Maker's Mark while paging through Eckler's Late Great Chevy catalog and thinking of all the dark evil I could throw at wifey's wagon. I'm here now to try to refocus on the bimmers. That's a dangerously deep catalog. I do need a new dome light lens, and if I'm paying the shipping for that $5 part, I really should be bringing some other stuff home....... /random

Dood, go for it. On a side note, I'm stoked to see the Wagon still has the cool Nixon sticker. :D

Sadly, that particular one came off in a bit of rain. The good news? They are really cheap and I ordered enough to get through the next 10 years.

It's February 28, and in southeast South Dakota, we're in the midst of a thunderstorm. Thunder, lightning, and lots & lots of rain. Temp is hovering just above freezing. I'm just thankful that the temp wasn't ~5° lower when this system came through; we'd be digging through hip-deep snow by now.

Let it rain.

Guitar: Marty Friedman (Ex-Megadeth)

This is the theme music to a new TV show that I enjoy. It is called "Miniskirt Space Pirates". No, it's not pornographic. That passes as a valid, non-pornographic book/cartoon title in Japan.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moretsu_pirates

If you can make it until about 3:05 into the movie, you hear Mr. Friedman remind you why he is the king of shredding. It keeps going until the end of the song.

Enjoy.

I decided to edit a batch of images for a project today on my six year old MacBook Pro. I now know why I no longer edit images on my six year old MacBook Pro. I need a cocktail...

Seriously, what would have been a 45 minute edit job on my Mac Pro took me an hour and a half on this antique. Was not worth it. I'm tense right now because of it.

That reminds me of a guy I used to work with who complained that his brand-spanking new (at the time) Mac PPC 8100 was too slow. The department manager got tired of his whining and suggested he try working on an older computer to change his point of reference. That didn't shut him up so the boss put him to work on an aged & decrepit IIfx for a week. I don't think he complained again after getting back on the 8100.

Show your daughter this thread in 20 years, Rodney.

Speaking of daughters, mine is spending her spring break ski-bumming in Bozeman, MT, with her brother and their cousin. To get out there they borrowed her boyfriend's car (a newish Honda Accord); he wasn't using it because he was in CA for a wedding, but he's flying back in this morning and I have to pick him up at the airport. I've met this guy once. The question is, he'll be captive in my car for a good ten minutes; how much of a third-degree do I hit him with? He's 30 (6 years older than her), Army vet (a medic with Afghan/Iraq experience), will graduate from nursing school this spring (but is contemplating med school), and sounds like a good guy. But the level of temptation to put the screws to him, just for fun, is pretty high. :)

His resume sounds promising. Be gentile... although I would probably want to dig too if it was Ellie's boyfriend...

P.S. Make sure to play a copy of Rodney Atkins' Cleaning this Gun on the way home...

That's funny, cuz when I first met him I told Emily that maybe it would be a good time to clean my guns; she said it wouldn't bother him a bit because he's a CC kinda guy, and always has his gun in his car. He'd probably jump in & help. Since they've been dating, he's taken her out shooting a number of times; I've offered to take her a number of times and she showed zero interest. I guess she took him up on the offer because her interest was in more than the shooting. ;)

Although I've never met our infamous davintosh in person I cannot see him being played by Robert DeNiro...

Since Rodney brought it up. I give, What's with your avatar Dave? Because that's how I see you, but that's not how I "see" you, ya know?
