I'd really like to make this. My 528e is just a worn out looking 285k driver, but it'll be cool to see all the classic BMW's and hang out with like minded people. I gotta check out the details later on.

x2 Thanks for the reminder- Just ordered. Making this a priority over things like a rear hub (with fresh ABS tone rings) to keep my abs light from popping on at 85mph. Might have to be on alot on this trip..

This is also our first trip- started to "baseline" since bought in Nov. May not end up servicing injectors, they are loud with some blowby on a few...Seems to run ok, but nothing to compare it to.
Would like to do that CSV fuel hose under manifold though...ugh :(
From what I've read here, may not need as many spares as expected. ( saw relay's, volt reg (new), used good belts, etc)

Let me add one more ting. I'm bringing along a sister-n-law of the 1983 vintage, has a good job, is responsible and has her own damn dog.

It's a gathering of owners & their cars - not a concours d'elegance. Bring it!

Greg I am glad to here that the s50 is in and running. Are you happy with the performance? I want a ride at Vintage. I won't have time to put in the 6sp before Vintage. I have been busy rebuilding my '76 Toyota Land Cruiser. I welded in new metal to rebuild the rear fender wells. Will be putting on the last coat of paint tomorrow. I have had the Cruiser for 19 years and will be listing it for sale after Vintage. I drove Al (my white car) yesterday for the first time since I went to VIR in early March. I had a long list of repairs I was able to get to yesterday so I can at least drive him again. New front rotors, new bearings in the camber plates and Adam guess what ? I put my old springs back on and went back to my old setup. Al is much happier now ! The back end is soft and grippe (is that a word?) and the front is not as hard. Got to get out to the garage. I need to paint my new hood for Al.

Bill,

I am pretty pleased. Still getting the break in miles on before I start monkeying with the tune, injectors, etc, but so far, I am loving it. I need a 6 speed as well with the 3.46, but it'll do to get me to Vintage!

Scott Sturdy let me know that a room opened at Shaffner, so I took it in order to be in safe walking distance from the Spaten at The Vintage Friday night 'meet-n-greet'. The French country furnishings may set my head to spinnin' though! :? We're looking forward to the event.

VintageBMW #16 has all the information. Scott is very good at this event execution. Tippin' my hat to him! We need to put a MyE28.com sticker in his window.

I'm not convinced either. I'll see how my Dremel tool works on this ankle monitor.
Just look for a hunchback man wearing a Van Halen t-shirt, Miami-Vice ponytail and a Four-Loko in his grip.

Been registered. Had the 5er to korman for a carbon clean. Idle is a little better. Still sorting out the dd,
but very excited for this gathering.

I'm starting to get excited. Heinz runs fine now but there are still a few things to do.

Mandatory:
1. Replace in tank pump gaskets including the sending unit's gasket.
2. Change oil.
3. Replace left headlight.
4. Serious wash.

Optional:
1. Paint grilles trim black.
2. Glue driver's side b-pillar trim.

My list is totally reasonable. What's your list?

Interior
Exterior
Trim
Mechanicals

That about covers it. At least the wheels are taken care of.
