The wine I'm brewing for The Vintage has been fermenting like a freight train! I find its constant temperature of 66.6 amusing however.

That rallye sounds like a blast Scott! Any chance it will be open / available to non-vintage BMWs begs the guy who is currently scared to drive his vintage BMW that far?

I did but there is a long list of additional spare parts I need to have on hand this year. Fuel pumps, ECU, perhaps a spare clutch kit, I think there's more but I'm forgetting it right now.

I'm going to tear into him this spring with stuff I know he needs and we'll see how far I can get. I want to replace a bunch of stuff I already have on hand like the trunk gasket, water pump and I need to get the coolant temperature gauge working. Or wire up a spare. And he needs a valve adjustment. Perhaps new plugs.

Basically all that stuff that Sherman could do in a day will probably take me weeks. ;) So until that's done he needs to be within the 100 mile AAA towing radius.

My booking went through. Sometimes the front desk people are a tad clueless.

And the penthouse suite is still available at Shaffner House. Vance just got the last regular room there.

Wow! I can't believe some of the people that have committed to go. Oh well, I think I will plan to be there anyway. ;)

Looking like a good year to take the E28 instead of the Bavaria. My son wants to take them both. I think that's mainly 'cause he wants to be in a car without me.

We have a few upgrades/changes planned for the 535 and have the parts in the garage. Just need time and motivation. V@V gives us a good goal.

Looking forward to seeing you folks again!

Are there accomodations for trailer parking at the venue hotel, or at another local hotel that any of you have had experience with?

For me it's a 10 hour drive. Realistically, the kids will be much happier in the back of the pickup than wedged in the e28, so the car is going on a trailer for the bulk of the trip.

Yes, there were a couple of trailered cars last year.

Cool - Thanks. Cars are meant to be driven, and I generally don't like trailer queens going to shows. I've run as much as three hours with the three kids in the backseat for the Patroon Chapter's Vintage at Saratoga event last year.

But 10 hours is over the top, even for my little road warriors, not to mention that there are only two 'real' seatbelts back there.....

Haha, I had to bail a couple out last year when they couldn't get their truck and trailer turned around in a hotel parking lot. It was a little weird, but I'm not VERY experienced and I could handle it...

There are actually lower tiers of parking at the hotel and those are ideal for trailer parking. I believe its on the West side.
