Judging by the number of car problems you have and ask for help solving, you might want to check to be sure you're not getting things backwards

that was funny - based on your comment, does that mean there is a village missing an idiot or an idiot looking for a village?

m635 time to go back to the village or find one.
Funny the people with the lame comments are also the ones that never seem to have anythng I want or need...

all I know is that I'm NEVER giving Shawn D or anyone else a hard time for post whoring ever again...

M635csi has posted like freakin 15 times on one thread alone...all to protect his "reputation" that doesn't mean squat to ANYONE here because we've all seen the way he treats people here.

Get a life M635csi...and don't give me some random philosophical mumbo jumbo, cuz I'd say it to your face too.

The buyer will bid significantly more than $1,500 to win the auction. Beyond that, depending on what you want determines what you do. A hybrid GT35R was slated for the install but that may not fit your goals. Suffice it to say, getting over 500 hp out of that engine is a walk in the park for anyone that knows what they’re doing.

$1,500 for just the manifold would be quite the deal. Unfortunately, that deal isn't available. :| :|

It looks like the reserve has been met at $1500 what does that mean that I will need "significantly more than $1500 to win the auction"?

Well well, another self appointed community representative. Not only that but a "proud owner of an '86 535i". Wow, that's some impressive shit. Ahahahaha

If that weren't impressive enough, everything you’ve typed on your keyboard you'd tell to my face; whoohoo... The one problem is that you didn't, and you can't. Also, you won't say it to my face and you never will. And there's a couple of very simple reasons for that: 1) you have nothing I want so you're not worth my time to come see and, 2) although I don't think you're particularly bright, I do think you've probably got enough brains to not show up at my house. But just in case I'm wrong about that, I've got two pieces of very good advice for you: If show up at my house to say it to my face, it'd better be Halloween and you'd better like candy. ;)

I thought about not dignifying your stupid arrogant response...

Apparently another thing you like to do is take what someone says and completely misinterpret it and then try to somehow use it against them in a way that ONLY you understand.

What I meant to say (sad I have to hold your hand though this) is that had you shown up at 5erFest (which you didn't -- conveniently enough) I would've gladly come straight up to you and said anything I may have felt to your face.

This community (excluding you) does not hide behind a keyboard and a bunch of pride...

Rather, we try to let what we type here carry over into REALITY (sorry I know that's tough) so that we can enjoy this community to its fullest.

Please, twist everything I've said...I can't wait.

Gosh I've needed this good laugh

I enjoy it most when the person I'm against is trained in logical argument but they're not always available.

Ah yes but you didn't have that opportunity. So sad. Convenient? It was certainly convenient for you.
skip535i wrote:This community (excluding you) does not hide behind a keyboard and a bunch of pride...
Perhaps I'm more selective about who I allow in my life. I work hard to set myself apart. Some would call that pride, others self respect.
skip535i wrote:Rather, we try to let what we type here carry over into REALITY (sorry I know that's tough) so that we can enjoy this community to its fullest.
If that "REALITY" works for you then great, that doesn't work for me. I work a long hours so when I take off a few of days I spend it in the places and with the people of my choosing. Beyond that, I don't like the crowd or mob mentality; not that there's anything wrong with it...

The reason I didn't post the parts on this site is because I wanted to avoid the freak show drama fest... I should have known it wouldn't be that easy.

I got outbid by $25 at the last second :bawl: I hate ebay!! I checked the auction right when I got home from work at 1:30am and there was an hour left. I guess you have to stay with those auctions till the very last second.

By the way I can't beleive what a can of worms got opened up on this subject.

Hey Daryl, yes that is the "official" version... BMWS38 seems like a really decent guy so it’s a bit sad he wasn't able to get what he wanted. For my part, I got so caught up in the drama fest that I didn't do what I had intended which was to email BMWS38, invite him over to have a look at the parts and get comfortable. FWIW, I have more Dinan turbo pieces for the S38/M88 so I'd like to find a complete M88/3 top end if anyone has one for sale.

These days (sniping software) you just have to bid what you are willing to pay and live with the results.

It would appear not everyone agrees with you about my "reputation" hence, multiple bidders and BMWS38 suffering regret that he missed a chance to get pretty cool parts.

BMWS38 has only you and your little band of happy harassers to thank for his not getting what he wanted...

Just curious how it could be anyone's fault from this board that BMWS38 didn't win the aution. If he wanted the parts that bad, shouldn't he have bid more?

M635csi...you are an idiot.

You seemed to think that SOMEHOW, even though you've turned the majority of E28 owners against you that you would still be able to sell an E28 product for good money. Also I think it's funny that you only sold the kit for $1525...that's LAUGHABLE.

I wouldn't be at all suprised to see you take it back from the high bidder and sell it to someone else, you seem to be good at that.

I will ask forgiveness of the Forum adminstrators in advance for 'double positing', but feel this is most relevant to the discussion at hand and fear its message will be lost in the bowels of another of 535ie28's resurrected old threads.

Thats not true and you know it. You really should back off of that guy. I haven't seen anything recently that he has been out of line on.
I couldn't agree more. I was not around for the great wheel injustice though did archive and read a good portion of it during the evermore common trend of never letting him forget it. It seems a complicated series of events that onlookers will never know the absolute truth about. Remember, nearly all truths are only mildly subjective at best. ;)

I'll go further out on a limb and say that I have enoyed PM's with Chris and feel short of this one incident he is a devoted and knowledgeable participant in the BMW community and ultimately wishes to share and exchange information. :D

To his further detrement when provoked he typically delivers a witty lashing to the aggressor which only incites this continual confrontation and tilling of the past.

All in all I think everyone should back off. Given the 'band wagon' harassment I think he has been a pretty good sport.

It seems like this board really enjoys ganging up and lynching selected members. Does it make you guys feel like a part of the group to jump in and break this guys balls every single chance you get? Its a little out of line. Chill out.

So now that the war seems to be over.....I still love the idea of a turbo M5  If the sale falls thru I'm still definatly wanting those parts. And back to my original point of this post....what do you guys think about this turbo setup from a performance standpoint?

While I don't say it's anyone from this forums "fault", it was certainly their disruptive behavior that interfered with BMWS38 getting those parts.

If BMWS38 had bid more then perhaps he may have been able to get the parts but maybe not. The most likely way he could have gotten the parts would be for him and me to have spoken and gotten along. One of the reasons I don't like ebay is that I don't make my decisions based entirely on price. I don't buy things primarily because of the price and I don't sell things primarily because of the price.

The reason I didn't post parts on this board was to avoid disruption.

Skip,

I am glad I amuse you.

Maybe I would better understand your engagement if you could explain to me what relevant role you have in it. What did this individual do to incite your relentless volley of stabs? For that matter, I would like to hear everyone’s stinging wrong. Where is the compassion and forgiveness that you so often profess? Does true compassion have contingencies?:dunno:

Be aware my gripe isn't with you. It’s with the school yard bullying that is occurring towards one individual.

I would like to believe if he is such the deserving pollutant everyone makes him out to be that the Administrators would rescind his membership. Otherwise it just seems like a vigilante endeavor towards ostracizing an individual who has more in common with you than ultimate differences.

If I were at step one of a turbo build. I would go with a tubular manifold, not log type. All of the stupid high HP cars in Europe run turbo on top tubular manifold systems.

I know this is a M30, not a S38, but you get the idea -

Image

666 Fabrication

I am sure they can make you a manifold for the S38, maybe for less than $1500. It would be new and supported by a warranty. Very much different that the 80's Dinan manifold that has no support.

Search in FI board for the Ken H.'s 11 part series on his engine build. He developed over 700 RWHP at 15 psi with his S38 and a tubular manifold system.

Well, some truth to that . . . BUT . . . our beloved M635 does have a tendency to deliver his wit & wisdom in large, bitter doses with little regard for those who may not have a taste for his ascerbic (and to be honest, sometimes rather pompous) brand of communication.

I can only assume that he is bored and chooses his vocabulary expressly for the purpose of bringing his recipe for "contention stew" to a rolling boil - and taking a rather perverse pleasure when those silly enough to have a taste end up with burnt palates and nausea.
