I would say you sister in law is a quite a fetching young lady...I hope I don't get banned from seeing her again after tonight....
Seriously though, she's quite the number.

It was great seeing everyone, and meeting a few new people! I'll be back next year, but for now, I must drive half way back to W.S. to replace the e28s water pump on the side of Highway 40 in Gretna, Va....provided the car is still where I left it last night.
I even brought a spare fuel pump, knowing it was on it's last leg.....but the water pump as like, "Fuck youuu."

It was good to see everyone and meet some new folks. I was pretty out of it the whole time, not feeling well. Oh well, next event I'll be in better shape.

Blue Shadow & I made it home to NoVA. Ran into a pair of 2002s near Lynchburg & Charlottesville, but no E28s.
Had a great time, as usual. Good to see the gang and their wonderful cars.

yes, hats off to the event planners. It was good to see some of my e28 friends and the crazy Canadians again. The beer garden was awesome but I got it a little bad trying to empty glasses for people. Plus I found my next e28 there. Fido is gonna hook an ol'e28 junkie up. It really is a sickness, I had to run out and buy an e32 735iL today just to say I officially own a BMW again and tinker on another m30b35. Lol

Phew... man I'm tired!! Rolled in to my driveway about 5 PM... 12 hours door-to-door, including 4 gas, bathroom, food, and run-around-the-car-3-times-to loosen-up-the-knees stops
As usual, had a great time at Vintage and enjoyed seeing the old gang and meeting a bunch of new folks. I loved Sia's 525 with the S54, Mike's B9, and about another 50 or so (of the nearly 300) of exceptional vintage BMWs that were there. It was enthusiast overload for sure! And, the e28er were well represented in both numbers and quality of rides
Well organized (thanks Scott), beautiful weather, fun at the drags and rally, and a lot of cool cars and people to see, meet, and get to know.... what a way to spend a couple days
Hope to see many of you a PVGP, TedFest, and/or O'fest

I just got home and settled in at 8:20. I drove the 1st leg of RTT with the guys to Tazewell, VA for a BBQ lunch. Due to a goofy mistake (my fault), Myself, Adrian with Cousin Billy in Billy's car, and Cactus in his Z4 M Coupe missed a fork off of the group on the interstate. They went right and we went left. I almost hit a girl trying to get over. It was too late. There was no way to get back so Adrian just kept going on the incorrect interstate until we could get to an exit that would allow us to cross over and meet up with the group again. We caught them. I went faster than I ever have for 30-40 minutes trying to keep up.
The mountain twisties were awesome. It was a long ride back to Richmond. I drove 500 miles today.
It was great to see everyone again!

I had a great time at The Vintage Thursday through Saturday. We returned yesterday after a visit to the old Shell station.
We returned via Route 29 through Lynchburg, VA and Charlottesville but didn't see any others along the way. I look forward to TedFest or PVGP. Dee & Brett and others there are hosting Sharks in the Park for this year's theme and invited all to attend.

Whats the story with this car?

Well, it says good & tight on it and it's got a b34 block with an m90 head, and I think I remember the phrase 22psi thrown around. Also I saw a kkk turbo and an open dump.

I'm home safe. I can't begin to describe the phenomenal memories that I created this weekend, both with the people and the images captured through the lens. I'm importing the pictures as we speak so there may be a preview of a few later tonight, but no promises.
I'll also do a full write up with my photos similar to what I did for 5erFest last year...

Well a few pictures are done. I took the drag strip photos and put most of them in their own album with very few deletes. PM me and I'll send you a large version of a file(s) if you would like. The whole album is here:
http://www.rmiddendorf.com/VirtualTour/ ... index.html
This is one of my favorite images from the drag strip.
Athena, Andrew and his wife's E9 CSI, raced with a bad alternator...
Gary Beck ran his ///M5 more times than I could count...
And yes, someone raced a Sprinter...
The main album will be edited and reduced down for redundancy and will only have very few of these drag strip images.

The first round of sorting has occurred. Stay tuned tomorrow for more images... I'm down to about 500 out of 1200 shot and the HDRs are processed.

Excellent even after a year of not making it! Had hellafun times with Pat, Skip, Brian and Christy (though Friday was a bit carried away to the point where we forgot to register). Lindsey Saturday morning wasn't doing to hot. Nonetheless, a fun event seeing good people and awesome cars!
Jay, I am glad you came buddy. See you at FestivaMadness.

All I can say is WOW
This was such a great weekend, the place, people, cars, weather, and free Spaten!!
What an experience- made it home safe to MA ( 13 hours), ran with a couple of cars through VA, and some 2002's on RT 220 going up to 81.
Nice meeting Bill ( from FL in Alpine white), Greg ( at Shaffner), Alfred ( aka Fido), Skip, and Dr. Moosehead himself in parking lot.
Found myE28.com stickers on the hood of another Alpine white car a few down from mine on main street Sat. (grabbed a few- thank you) Now just have to figure out how to post pictures on this board ....flicker?

Been lurking here for a while, dreaming of an E28 to add to my Bimmer fleet. Unfortunately, that won't happen until I get/build a bigger garage.
Went to the Sat show at The Vintage for the first time. What an awesome display of sweet E28s. Thanks to all who brought their cars and answered questions.

Well, we made it home today. Took the scenic route.
When driving an $800 E36 convertible on a 1700+ mile trip, you never know, but this one got us there and back without a hitch!
